Finance
The Finance Department runs and operates all of the accounting functions of the Band and Band-owned Corporations. This Department maintains records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and benefits, banking, general ledger and financial statements.
The Finance Department leads the annual budgeting session with each Band department, monitors the results and provides each Band department with updated budget reports. Reporting of budgets and financial statements are also provided to the Executive Director, Chief and Council. The Finance Department also prepares year-end working papers to support the annual audit.

Meet Constance Mekwunye, our dedicated Finance Officer at Lheidli T’enneh. With a strong background in accounting and a passion for financial management, Constance brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Constance holds a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Accounting from the College of New Caledonia. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Studies from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, UK.
Before joining in Lheidli T’enneh Constance worked in Prince George Public Library, Eagle Nest Community and Aboriginal services and Thompson Community services. Known for her enthusiasm, self-motivation, and reliability, Constance approaches her work with meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy. She has a solid foundation in financial management, accounting principles, and quantitative analysis. Constance ensures compliance with regulations and guidelines while providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve financial processes. In her role as Finance Officer, Constance demonstrates exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Her ability to strategize, plan, and prioritize tasks allows her to meet strict deadlines and deliver high-quality work even in demanding and fast-paced environments.

Jammy Datoc is currently the Accountant in Lheidli T’enneh.
Before joining Lheidli T’enneh, Jammy was an Assistant Controller in one of the dealerships of AutoCanada, which trades under the Toronto Stock Exchange. She supported the Sr. Regional Controller with the full cycle accounting operations of the company. Moreover, in Manila, Philippines, she was the Accounting Manager of various real estate companies.
Jammy holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas and diploma in Post-Baccalaureate in Accounting from College of New Caledonia. Furthermore, she is a CPA in the Philippines and U.S. Certified Management Accountant.
Given her vast working experience, she is equipped with accounting acumen in enhancing Lheidli T’enneh’s business and financial strategy driven by well-defined data analysis.
