Lheidli T’enneh First Nation is advising North Side residents that a precautionary Boil Water Advisory is now in effect for the North Side Community Water System.
The reservoir leak has been repaired. However, during the repair and refill process, water pressure in the distribution system dropped below the recommended level of 20 PSI. While crews work to restore normal pressure, there is a potential risk of contamination.
The reservoir is currently being refilled, and staff are working diligently to restore normal water pressure as quickly as possible.
Once normal pressure has been restored:
• Bacteriological water samples will be collected
• Additional sampling will take place after 24 hours
• The advisory will be lifted only when it is confirmed that the water is safe
Please continue to follow the Boil Water Advisory until an official notice is issued confirming it has been lifted.
