Lheidli T'enneh is presently engaged in a number of forestry related partnerships and initiatives. A key objective is an agreement between Canadian Forest Products (Canfor) and Lheidli T'enneh is capacity development. A Lheidli T'enneh representative receives invaluable experience in the diverse aspects of timber tenure such as silviculture, field operations and operational planning. Such experiences will assist Lheidli T'enneh in future forest license management.
In January 2008, the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation was approved for a Non-replaceable Forest License (NRFL) over a five year period. Also in January 2009, Lheidli T'enneh Community Forest application was approved by the British Columbia Ministry of Forests and Range.
